1967 Honda Dream and Baby Dream

Here are some pix of my dreams together so you can see the size and other differences. You can't drive a classic motorcycle and be antisocial! Every time I go for a putt someone says " I had one of those!" or asks "what year is that?" It's true that you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

1965 CA77

This 1967 CA77 Dream I got in long beach, ya I know it's kinda rough, but hey it's all most as old as me! Now I need to make room for it so I need to sell the 67 CA160. That rabbit sticker has got to go! This dream obsession is fun! Now if I could only find a CA92.......

No more stickers and now titled and tagged! I think the round mirrors look ok, might keep them on. This bike has close to 50K on it, so it's a bit rough! Might just take it all the way down and rebuild it over winter. The blue color is kinda growing on me, I wanted to repaint it black, still thinking about it!

1967 ca160

I seem to be working my way up the classic Honda tree by way of CC size. I don't even have the 1965 ca95 done and bought a 1967 ca160 in mostly complete, running and original condition! After some TLC it's now my most ridden classic!

This is how it looked when I got it, before I put the correct handle bars and mirrors on.

Honda ca95

This is the one that started my thang with the Honda "Dream" styled bikes. More pics soon.

I completely disassembled this bike and cleaned the frame and bodywork. The patina was spectacular so I clear coated all the painted surfaces. Then I sent the cylinders out and had them honed and new pistons fitted.

I reassembled the motor with new transmission bearings, 2 new gears, new shifter forks, new drum stopper and new seals and gaskets. I did not bead blast the motor exterior, still loving that patina. I did clear coat the side covers. Am I being a bit obsessive with the patina?

It's getting closer to completion!

ST90 LIKE A CT70 ON STEROIDS

This bike has been a blast! I swapped the little black and silver z50 that is later in this blog,  for this 73 st90 with a cl90 motor swap that I could plate for street use! All I changed where the handle bars and tires, bars too short and knobbies suck on the pavement, had the seat professionally recovered, replaced the stock rear shocks with new chrome adjustable ones, rides much better. I changed the carb to a bigger one from a 110 atc, and used the complete head from the same 110 just because it was so tight and all around better shape than the old CL90 one. I replaced the rear 40 tooth sprocket to a 35 tooth one to make it much faster for traffic! I saw a dax on chalopy blog with a spiked dog collar on it and thought it looked cool so now this bike has one also. This bike is the one I drive when the weather is not nice enough to take out the ct90 chopper I made out. To see the CT90 google gadgitmansplace. And check out the video of it over on the top right on this blog!

The Ct70 Phase

I once called the ct70 or the dax, ugly. Now I think its kinda cute in a ugly way!
I ended up buying this one when looking at a parts bike, this ct70h was in the garage just waiting for me to rescue it! It was the nicest of my small fleet of 70 cc mini trail bikes.

Z50 Monkey bike

Naturally I needed to have a z50 after the 2 speed only fun of the qa days and rear shocks! This littlebike came with a totally wrong tank, one from a puch, but mostly complete running condition. I got the owner to throw in the early z looking tank shown on it in the pic above. I took the whole mess apart and cleaned, striped and repainted the frame, wheels, front end and tank. Filled in the side plate and did a little reprofiling on it.
